Happy T's
We had Kalki at our Happy T's launch. And we couldn't have asked for anyone better.
She has always been one to speak her mind and is a true believer of the organic cotton movement.
"I am very honoured to be associated with an initiative as noble as Happy T's from Cottonworld. Happy T's is good for you, the environment and most importantly, the farmers, so I urge everyone to come and buy one, the fact that they are super comfortable, 100 percent organic and stylish comes as an added bonus. I am extremely grateful to be here today!"
Kalki was sporting our favourite Camouflage print Happy T at the event. Pulling off this trendy street style with her usual panache.
The reason we chose Chetna Vikas is because they primarily work with organic cotton farmers from the Vidarbha region which has been plagued by farmer's suicides for over a decade. They have been aiding over 5,000 families across 120 villages in Wardha. Which is a town close to Nagpur in the state of Maharashtra.
Here's how...
It's a no to GMO seeds.
It's a no to synthetic pesticides.
It helps combat climate change.
It uses less water.
And it keeps farmers healthy and happy due to fair prices and no pesticides.
Don't you like the sound of that?
We opened our first Cottonworld store in the year 1987. Since then we have endeavoured towards keeping our products natural and making our brand as ecological and sustainable as possible.
All our initiatives from the Adopt-A-Tree Campaign, to switching over to recycled cloth hand bags, to working with El Rhino for handmade paper tags are a part of the CWVOW Mission 2030.
All our continuous efforts will show effect if we have your support. The success of this sustainability movement in the fashion industry will be dependent not only on how willing brands are to adapt but also the customer’s willingness to participate in these changes.
